Death Valley Days
It’s a show we love to watch. It’s old, black and white, with themes of winning the west, men of valor, strong gutsy women and the perseverance of hard times on the frontier of early North America.
Today, the temperatures reached 110 degrees F (heat index). While the livestock lie cud-chewing under the shade trees, and stand bellies submerged in cool pond water, we sit in an air-conditioned living room with our feet up relishing the oddity of an afternoon break. It’s just too darn hot outside. So we’ll wait a bit, and as evening approaches and Death Valley Days concludes, David will get his boots back on and persevere on our frontier, as valor still exists during the hard times of hot Iowa summers.#Ohnemusbeef
